What is Colorguard?
The NBHS Colorguard is a performing arts organization made up of ninth grade center and high school students who perform in the Marching Band show at football games and competitions. These students perform using flags, rifles, sabres, and other props, along with different styles of dance to provide a visual impact to the marching show in the Fall! Colorguard students are considered members of the band program, and get to participate in many exciting events including free entry to football games, marching competitions, pep rallies, band picnics, band trips, band banquet, and much more. Colorguard is offered as a class during the school day, and students can receive BOTH their required Fine Arts AND PE credits.

Get Started!
1. Complete the Colorguard Interest Form to join our email list and receive important information about becoming a member of the Colorguard, and stay up to date regarding Auditions!
2. Attend our Colorguard Clinic & Tryouts April 9th, 10th and 11th, 5pm-7pm, Location TBD. (Make-up auditions will be held at Fundamentals Camp May 16th-18th at NBHS)
Audition Clinic Information
Join us April 9th-11th for our Colorguard Audition Clinic! No prior experience is necessary to audition! All three days of the clinic will be spent learning the basics of dance and flag spinning! If you are on the fence about joining the Colorguard, we welcome you to join us for any of these three days to try it out! Come meet all of our current members, learn fun routines, and see what Colorguard is all about! Any student seriously considering becoming a member of the Colorguard should plan to attend these audition dates and all Summer Camp dates. If you miss auditions, you can still join us for June Camp! Students should wear athletic/dance attire and bring a bottle of water.
Summer Camp Information
All members of the 2024-2025 Colorguard will be expected to attend all Summer Camp dates. At these camps, we will be doing physical conditioning, learning the basics of movement and flag, and learning choreography for our Marching Show! Summer Band Camp is a ton of fun!
